They said, the Eritrean Patriarch is free from prison. They have stated that his holiness gave blessing and also take part during the liturgy service, this is absolutely far from the truth.

His Holiness, Patriarch Antonio 3rd Eritrean Canonical patriarch was not returned back to his throne and has not been released from prison. thus, the news published and posted by stating the Patriarch was released is a fake news.

During the last few weeks a meeting was held among the Eritrean Government and some of the X-Bishops. The Eritrean Government and the X-Bishops approached the Patriarch by evil design.

They prepared a written apologies that the government and the X bishops admitted the unlawful removal of his Patriarch 11 year ago and they kindly asked the patriarch to return to his throne.

The Patriarch requested if they could read the letter in public. The bishops immediately agreed with the patriarch request, they confirmed that they will read the letter of apologize inside the church, afterword this information must be published by governmental newspaper, Television and Radio.

On Sunday 16, July 2017 the patriarch taken to Saint Mary church for the first time in 11 years. The Eritrea security forces took his holiness Patriarch Abune Antonios to the Saint Merry church under the biases of dialogue with X- bishops.

As the Patriarch was attending at St Mary he was not allowed to meet or speak with anybody. our father his Holiness Abune Antonios was not allow to give his Blessing for the people. The letter of apology has never been read in public as formerly agreed.

One authorized X-Priest read a Letter which is completely different from their former agreement. The letter is against his Holiness. Our patriarch wanted to speak but the security blocked him. After the political Drama were finished, they took him back to the prison. However the fabricated fake news Published that His Holiness gave a blessings to monks and bishops. And they posted dramatic photos stating that the case of Abune Antonios has settled in peace with consultation with the X-bishops.

We would like everyone not to be mislead by this false news. And we kindly ask the case of His Holiness Abune Antonios must be shown without any government pressure openly at the presence of third party- Egyptian coptic Orthodox Church.
