THE NEW VINTAGE First Berlin New Year’s baby came right after midnight

While thousands of missiles exploded in the Berlin sky, the small Yosife was particularly in a hurry. The first Berliner of the year came almost with a point landing. The new year was just 60 seconds old, when Yosife was born in the Auguste-Viktoria-Klinikum in Schöneberg. Mother Shewit from Eritrea and the father are naturally unhappy. The New Berliner weighs a staggering 4090 grams and is already 54 centimeters large. The birth process lasted for several hours.

The little Benjamin Andreas made place two of the midnight races. Only four minutes later, at 0.05 o’clock, he was born in the Neuköllner Vivantes Clinic. Doctors and midwives Yvonne S. speak of a “picture bookbirth”. New Year baby Benjamin Andreas brings 2905 grams on the scales and is 49 centimeters large.

The two bluffs should not remain the only rocket babies. At seven o’clock in the morning, a total of eight children were born at Vivantes in Berlin. The first scream of the third Berlin baby could be heard at 0.36 am in the delivery room, at 0.52 the next child was born in the Humboldt Klinikum. Pure baby’s happiness on the first day of the new year was also available in the clinic Am Urban. There the midwives registered two births at 2.09 and at 2.25 clock. The next two new shoots of the capital then took some time: At 3:00 pm and at 4.27 am, two babies were born in the Friedrichshain clinic. You do not always have to be the first!

Also in the birthplace of the Evangelical Forest Hospital Spandau, there was a New Year’s baby. There the small Benita Jafari first saw the light of the world at yesterday morning at 8:03 am. She weighed 3145 grams at birth and was 51 centimeters tall. At 1.30am, the mother Behnoush Ali-Mohammadi had entered the delivery room with labor. She and father Hassan Jafari were able to close their daughter six and a half hours later. “At birth it does not matter to the mothers whether it is the Silvesternacht or a night like everyone else,” explains Tabea Langknecht, midwife in the forest hospital Spandau. “But we midwives have put us funny New Year’s Eve hats to lighten the mood,” says Langknecht.
