Eritreans Planning Geneva II in New York

Conversations are currently under way to invite Eritreans to join in at the UN Headquarters in New York to express their support to the Commission of Inquiry.

According to one of the organizers, there’s an “increasing desire” by Deleyti Fithi to repeat in the US the historic demonstration that galvanized Eritreans in Geneva last June 26. Speaking on the condition of anonymity, the organizer told Erivision.org that “We should duplicate Geneva by making an equally strong statement in support of the UN.” He indicated that the plans are merely in the “brainstorming phase” and hope to provide more details in the coming days. “If all goes as planned the event should take place in October,” he added.
