It should be remembered that, based on the directives of the emergency meeting of ENCDC (or Bayto), the Preparatory Committee (PC) was formed with the full responsibility to conduct the second Eritrean national congress. Based on this, the PC has been developing modalities and organizing support groups leading to the formation of the NASG. The support group is organized as follows:

  1. A steering committee that oversees the work of the zones. This group has five members

  1. Four zones in North America with seven members each:

  1. Canada

  1. US East

  1. US Midwest

  1. US West

Names of the NASG members are listed at the bottom of this press release.

At this time, the NASG would like to issue this message:

Dear Eritreans, dear Byto members, today our country is in a worst situation than any other time under the colonization of the past. Our youth are fleeing their country in droves and are facing incredible adversities and suffering. After enduring the atrocities of the government in their country, they are facing horrific treatment by human traffickers and vanishing in circumstances that are globally condemned. Countless death of our people in the seas and in the Sahara Desert is a daily occurrence. To overcome this, we call all opposing forces to unit under the umbrella of Bayto so that we can fight the PFDJ and its followers. In this occasion, NASG would like to also make a call to all justice loving Eritreans in North America to assure their participation in and provide their full support and corporation to NASG
